Over the past few years, several myths have come forward regarding metal buildings. Each one sounds true but not on the basis of facts. Most of these myths are came to light because of what people thought they knew or remembered from their high school about metal. However, there are a ton of differences between a metal building and an uncoated metal. Myth 1: Metal building are noisy There are several myths related to metal buildings and the one most heard is they are noisy. People often think that hail on the roof of the metal building will sound like rocks to the one inside the building, but that not the real case. Some think that sound inside will echo, but these two things are impossible if the metal building is properly insulated. However, a properly insulated metal building is much quieter than a building which is not insulated. Myth 2: Metal contracts and expands in extreme temperatures Metal does expand and contract in extreme temperatures but that doesn’t mean your metal building is unsafe or exposed to the outer atmosphere.
