As a general rule, most carport manufacturers in the United States refer to their standard 26' wide to 30' wide units as triple carports. While these units start at 26' wide, we always recommend 30' wide units for up to three cars as they provide ample space to get into and out of the vehicle. An 26' wide unit is just enough room for three compact cars and that may work for your current shelter needs but we recommend that you also consider possible upgrades to your vehicles in the future.
